SUPBALL (Stand Up Paddle Ball) is a combination of netball, water polo, lacrosse and rugby - played on stand up paddle boards. SUPBALL is the brainchild of the Australian SUPper Craig Moulds and his team at the Manly Kayak Centre and was developed in the summer of 2011. SUPBALL takes flat water SUPping to a whole new level, a unique game that can be played by all.
HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK?
Matches will run in a round robin competition for 4 weeks from May 2015 followed by a semi final and a grand final. The grand final will be held in June 2015.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
- Board/Equipment rental for all competition games
- Weekly training sessions
- Top of the line SUPBALL official wetsuit
- Board hire will be charged per hour for anytime your team wants to train outside of designated training sessions
WHAT IS THE PRICE?
The cost per person for the competition per competitor still has to be finalised.
A minimum of 7 players has to be registered to form a team, however, you can have register up to 15 players! No need to register a full team if you're willing to join one of the social teams.
WHEN ARE THE GAMES?
Still to de determined - The games run for 40 mins, with a 5 minute break at half time.
WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY?
SUPBALL is a very simple game and very easy to pick up on the rules. We will show you everything you need to know at the training sessions and you can come down anytime to rent a board for only (price to be determined) and have a practice!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Your SUPBALL wetsuit! And maybe something a little bit sassy on top to set your team apart!
